How We Work

BCIC Board of Directors

The board meets monthly to oversee and plan all the events and initiatives. The BCIC Board is a working board where all the members are also active volunteers.

Volunteers

Middle school and high school students are given many opportunities to utilize their Chinese skills as they volunteer, also earning volunteer credit hours. CI parents are the backbone of our events, ensuring their success!

Partners

BCIC works alongside Greencastle of Barrington and the Barrington Area Library to provide mutually beneficial programs to our communities.

CI Classroom Supplies

BCIC fulfills teacher wish lists each year as well as on going support of the district and classrooms.

Chinese Cultural Events

BCIC hosts cultural events such as Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival and WeiQi instruction in the classroom.

Language Enrichment

BCIC provides Mandarin Story Times, 3rd-5th Games, and Chinese conversation opportunities.
