The BCIC is holding an election in April to complete our Board of Directors for the 2025/26 school year.

We are looking for experienced BCIC volunteers to join our team! Board members play an active role in organizing events, attending monthly board meetings, advocating for CI and leading at least one committee. With diverse responsibilities, we aim to build a well-rounded board to serve our community effectively.

The Beijing Guitar Duo is coming to our own Barrington White House in two weeks! Tickets are still available to see the acclaimed Chinese musicians on Sunday, March 16 at 3pm. Student tickets are complimentary with an adult ticket purchase: 

Check with your teacher to find the grade level sight words and the HSK challenge words. Remember to study the previous year's sight words too.

Parents and students, come be part of the Character Bee! We particularly need native Mandarin speakers as judges.

BCIC bridges the gap by supporting PTO events across the district. Through our presence at these events, we connect with families, share information about the CI program, and promote Chinese language and culture within the community.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for BCIC’s Annual Lunar New Year Celebration! Your enthusiasm and participation made this event a huge success. From the incredible interactive martial arts performance by Shihan Joe Gangi to the cultural activities like calligraphy, Weiqi, Mahjong, music, and art, it was a day filled with joy, learning, and community spirit!

Thank you so much for helping us celebrate the Year of the Snake with BCIC at the Barrington White House! Nearly 60 volunteers, including teachers, students, parents and community members shared their time and talents to make the celebration possible! We are grateful for all your help! We hope you enjoyed the celebration too.
